Residential and Retail Development in New York

1941
-1960

Jack Green founded J.A. Green Development Corp. (JAG) in 1941, primarily as a developer of single and multi-family homes. Under his direction, JAG became a full-service real estate development company, constructing apartment buildings and retail stores throughout the New York metropolitan area.

1960-2000

While developing residential and commercial properties near Idlewild Airport, as JFK International Airport was then known, Jack Green recognized the need for a new type of warehouse to meet the specialized requirements of a new industry - the air cargo and freight forwarding business.

As a result of his vision, JAG evolved into an integrated real estate development company which owned, developed and managed office/warehouse buildings, at first, near JFK International Airport and, more recently, adjacent to major airports throughout the United States, including DFW International Airport, IAH Bush Intercontinental Airport, Sea-Tac International Airport, and Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport.

1985-2006

From 1985 through 2006, JAG applied its forty years of real estate development experience at JFK International Airport and expanded the business near airports in Texas and the Pacific Northwest.  During this period, JAG built, owned and managed office/warehouse space located adjacent to DFW, IAH and Sea-Tac International Airports.

JAG's unique business philosophy as an owner/developer/manager is to deliver a "turn key" facility tailored to meet the specific needs of its customers. JAG acts as its own general contractor in the construction and design of its buildings, as well as its own leasing and management agent. JAG's buildings are designed to satisfy and anticipate the requirements of today's freight forwarding industry.

JAG properties are built, located and designed specifically to give the customer operational advantages beyond what is offered in typical warehouse facilities. These features include:

● Mezzanine and warehouse-level offices
● Customized tenant finish-outs
● On-site leasing and management by JAG employees
● Cross-dock warehouse facilities
● Column-free warehouse areas
● Flexible warehouse floor plans with up to 4 dock doors for every 3,250    square feet.
● 200’ + Truck Courts
● 30’ clear heights in warehouse areas
● Buildings located minutes from major US airports

2007

The application of JAG's business philosophy to the air cargo and freight forwarding business has generated a reputation for providing unsurpassed workmanship, competitive pricing and mutually beneficial long-term relationships.

A privately-owned and family-operated business for over fifty years, JAG is now lead by the third generation of Green family management.  An industry innovator for over half a century, JAG is committed to maintaining its historic standards of excellence in facility design, operating efficiency and customer service.
