The Start of Something Good.
As the United States was thrown into World War II, Jack Green understood the importance of keeping America working. In 1941, he founded J.A. Green Construction. Focusing his efforts in and around New York City, Jack developed the backbone of what J.A. Green Development has become today. Jack quickly built a reputation as a fair and honest developer and manager; building commercial and residential properties across the New York Metropolitan area.
While developing properties around what was then known as Idlewild Airport—later JFK International Airport---, Jack recognized the need for a new type of warehouse to meet the specialized requirements of the emerging air cargo and freight forwarding industry. The company focused its effort on development of quality office and warehouse space specifically designed and located for the air freight industry. Relentless in our management of costs, while never compromising his passion for extraordinary customer service, JAG developed state of the art facilities for an emerging industry.
Over time –the J.A. Green team expanded across the country, building, owning and managing air freight facilities adjacent to Dallas/Ft Worth International, Houston’s Bush Intercontinental and Sea-Tac International Airports.

As a privately owned and operated business, J.A. Green is now lead by the third generation of Green family management. From the time we were kids on the jobsite, to family dinner conversations, to today - to say “it’s in our blood” is an understatement.

During his tenure at J.A. Green Development Corp., Dan has personally directed the development of more than two million square feet of office and warehouse space “from the ground up." He began training for his career with J.A. Green at age 15, when he spent his summer working as an apprentice to an electrician. Read More
Sheera (Green) Prawer — Vice-President/Director
Sheera Green Prawer graduated from Brandeis University in 2002 with BA in Sociology. In 2004, she received her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and earned her license to practice in the State of New York. Sheera joined Mount Sinai Hospital, where she worked as a general medicine social worker through 2007. Upon the company’s relocation from Dallas, TX to Greenwich, CT in February 2007, Sheera joined J.A. Green Development Corp. as Vice President.
